My name is Wayne Sullivan, I am a Senior 3D Character Artist and 3D Generalist with over 11 years of experience crafting high-quality, stylized content for video games. My passion lies in developing compelling and innovative characters using a wide range of modeling and texturing techniques. I excel in collaborating with concept artists and project leads to create unique and captivating visual styles.
I work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure all models and textures meet technical specifications, and I maintain open communication with tech and animation departments to guarantee that assets rig, deform, and animate seamlessly.
Throughout my career, I've contributed to games such as Heroish, StormRunners, Dragonvale World, Dwarven Den, SpellFall, and other exciting projects. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Colorado.
My software proficiencies include Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Marvelous Designer, and Marmoset, among others.
Fulfilled a short contract creating a set of characters and environment assets as well as putting together renders and marketing material.
I worked with Amazon Games creating boss character content and support assets for Storm Runners.
I worked with Sunblink developing a plethora of character content and helping create fun and compelling mobile games.
I worked at Backflip Studios as a 3D Character Artist working with a great team to ship multiple projects such as Dragonvale World, Spellfall, Dwarven Den, Epic Island and a few smaller games. I also contributed work in a 3D and 2D generalist role on Dragonvale and other projects that sadly never shipped.
